I’m the Manager of the Centre for Complementary Care in Eskdale, in the Lake District.
I was born over half a century ago in Croydon – but that wasn’t my fault and anyway it’s rude to laugh.
I’ve worked at the Centre for nearly 20 years and have been the Manager for about 15. Their chances of getting rid of me now are vanishingly small because I’m the only person who knows where the keys to the petty cash box are.
What does the Centre DO exactly? Well … it’ll save ME a lot of time and YOU a lot of brow-furrowing if you just go and take a look at our website – which tells you everything you could possibly want to know, and probably a great deal you don’t:

I happened upon your blog because I have a Google Alert for all Trivia/Quiz entries every day. The routine is to scan the entry , find out if it is relevant and maybe even interesting, and move on. So, sometime later and I’ve read all of your blog and I’m laughing and thinking, “I wonder how many people even get this person’s sense of humour?” Then I went onto the website, which I found very interesting. I’m bookmarking your blog because i don’t want to lose you now that I have found you!

Hello, Your photos of the picnic weather are lovely. Thank you for posting them. YOu are reminding me that I miss my Literature teacher this summer who is also from London, well a small city west there of. Have you posted a link to your newsletter? I’d love to read it and see what I can learn. I’m
trying to start a community paper in a very large city. Why? Because I’m a glutton for punishment or I’m nuts!

Hello Tricia!
My professional opinion? You’re nuts.
I’ve now posted a link to the latest newsletter (and indirectly to the back-numbers as well) in my latest entry. Thank you for the suggestion. It hadn’t actually occurred to my fuzzy little brain …
